Acceptable use
The rules for using rTraining: your account is yours, assessments are sat alone, the content stays here, and nobody attacks the platform or reaches another person's record.
These are the rules for using rTraining. They apply to everybody with an account: people who buy for themselves, people an organisation enrols, and the administrators who manage an organisation's account. They are part of the terms for individual learners and the terms for organisations.
A training record is only worth something if it is honest, and a platform that holds other people's records is only safe if everybody using it keeps to the same rules. That is the reason for every rule below.
Your account is yours
- One person, one account. Do not let anybody else sign in as you, and do not use an account for more than one person. A shared login for a team or a department is not allowed.
- Keep your email account safe. You sign in with a link sent to your email address, so whoever can read your email can sign in as you.
- A seat passes on, it is not shared. When an organisation marks somebody as left, their seat passes to the next active member. Two people must never use one seat at the same time.
Assessments are sat alone
- Sit the assessment yourself. Nobody else may sit it for you, sit beside you supplying answers, or tell you the answers while you take it.
- Do not share the questions. Do not copy, record, screenshot, publish or pass on assessment questions or answers. Doing so damages every certificate the course has ever issued, including yours.
- Do not try to get round the rules, for example by trying to see answers before you give yours, change an answer or a result, or get more attempts than the course allows.
The course content stays here
You may read the courses you have access to, print a section for your own use, and quote them with attribution. You may not:
- republish, sell, translate or share the course material, the narration or the images;
- copy it into your own induction pack or upload it to another learning platform;
- use it to train or improve an AI model;
- build a competing course from it.
Ask and the section tutor
Ask and the section tutor answer questions about the courses you hold. Use them for that. Do not:
- ask them to answer assessment questions for you;
- try to make them ignore their rules or reveal their instructions or keys;
- ask them for other people's data;
- type in a child's name, or anything about a real person's health or circumstances. They do not need it, and it would be kept for 90 days.
A message that looks like one of our assessment questions is refused, and so is any message of the second or third kind. A message of the second or third kind, or one that is abusive, is also recorded as misuse. Three of those in 24 hours pause the tutor for your account for 24 hours, and our staff are told. There is also a monthly allowance, and a short wait if many questions are sent at once. Ask and AI use explains more.
Do not attack the platform
- No scraping, and no automated downloading of courses, audio or images.
- No probing for weaknesses, and no attempt to reach another person's record or another organisation's data.
- No attempt to overload the service, or to get round the limits on signing in, checking certificates or using Ask.
- No uploading anything harmful, such as malware, in a file you give us.
If you find a security weakness, please tell us rather than testing it further; see the information security statement.
Administrators
If you manage an organisation's account:
- use the roles the platform provides, and give each person the least access they need;
- remove a person's access promptly when they change role or leave;
- invite only people you are entitled to enrol, using their own work email address;
- do not put health, disability or other sensitive information into any field.
You will see whether your people passed, and their certificates. You will not see their answers, scores or attempt history, and you must not ask them to show you, or build a process that depends on it.
Be civil
If you write to us, or to anybody else through the platform, be decent about it. We will not tolerate abuse of our staff.
What happens if the rules are broken
We may suspend an account while we look into it. Where we find that the rules were broken we may void an attempt, withdraw a certificate, close the account, or end an organisation's agreement, depending on how serious it was. The malpractice and maladministration policy says how we investigate and how you can respond, and you can appeal under the appeals policy. We will not withhold your training record while a dispute is unresolved unless the record itself is what is in dispute.
Reporting misuse
If you see somebody breaking these rules, email training@rtriibe.com with "malpractice" in the subject line.
